I find it hard to understand why people insist when it comes to being popular. It must certainly be because they feel they lack importance. The thought of knowing that we matter and are cared for makes us feel comfortable with who we are.

But what happens when we aren't given importance or care? We will then end up putting others down, to make it as though we're more powerful and important.

What is it that drives us to such dependence on care, could it possibly be that we were created to be loved and for that matter, we must offer that same love to our surroundings.

It is unfortunate that as human beings we sometimes don't realize that our actions toward others shapes how their character will develop. For example, a person that is always bullied or looked down upon will tend to be isolated and angry.

Can it be possible that if we offer the love that we long for, then perhaps that love will suffice our every need? Not necessarly, because it is impossible to get everyone on the same page towards understanding one another for who they are by their own will.

The fact that we "are" humans and have sin within us will never allow us "all" to understand each other and for that matter equally love one another. It is with God that we are capable to move past the things that hold us back from his love. He is the only one who gives us the strength to forget our past, by allowing us to focus on the blessings of our future.

Think back to your past experiences... Have you ever felt like you've been betrayed by someone whom you couldn't picture your life without? You completely begin to feel isolated and the thought of ever talking to this person nearly vanishes. You begin to make yourself forget that you ever loved this person.

But it may be that at times you end up feeling like you want everything to be normal. You begin to create a guard that separates you from people and having trust in them. You feel that if you only trust yourself then you'd never be betrayed again.

However, there is no doubt about you wanting to love and be loved again. What we don't realize is that as we create our guards according to our past experiences we end up isolating ourselves from God, who is the ultimate provider of love. We feel so hurt and mistreated that we loose our consciousness in knowing that God can remover our burden and set us free.

In trying to solve these things on our own we end up in the rollercoaster of emotions. At first we feel like we've overcome our past and are ready for our future. But as soon as we face an obstacle we sink into the fear of not having love, which was the very thing that separated us from God. Its in our human understanding that we are capable of realizing our inability to love unconditionally without the power of God. But its far beyond our comprehension to understand how God can allow us to move past the afflictions holding us back from love. Its by faith that we are capable to regain our consiousness of love. Popularity is simply the insecurity that allows us to feel loved temporarily. However, God has the compassion to offer his unconditional love and its blessings as long as we take part in having faith. When we allow ourselves to realize that we can only experience true love with God we will no longer need to have a guard. We realize that its God's love that not only provides unconditional love, but is also everlasting.

Lets face it! We were created to be loved, all we have to do now is accept his love with no regrets. Popularity is temporary, but the love of God has the everlasting power to suffice our every need.
